ABOUT R&D
The Antenna Research Laboratory (ARL) and Liquid Crystal (LC) centre was established in 2008. The main objective of this state-of-the-art facility, directed by Dr. B T P Madhav, is to support research, analysis, modelling, test and development efforts related to antennas and liquid crystal based systems. This Lab is equipped with the latest antenna and microwave design tools like ANSYS Electronics Desktop, CST Microwave Studio and IE3D. The test facilities also include Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, PCB Prototype Machine, Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Liquid Crystal Analysis System, Polarizing Microscope, Computer facilities available for research in the ALRC R&D include a network of several high performance workstations with high speed RAM’s. In addition ALRC is networked through high speed 1000 MBPS network of UNIX and Windows research workstations.
We produced more than 600 publications in peer reviewed journals and completed two projects from AICTE and DST worth of 38 Lakhs. Currently working on three projects funded by DST, Govt of India. The ongoing projects worth is about 135 Lakhs. We are seeking consultancy in microwave antennas and liquid crystals.
OUR VISION
The lab is currently supporting research on Low-profile, Electrically small and Reconfigurable antennas, Ultra-wideband antennas, Metamaterial surfaces and media, Fractal antennas, Defected ground structured antennas, Filtennas, EBG structures, Flexible and Conformal antennas etc. Liquid crystal polymer based antennas and Liquid crystal antennas are being used for flexible and tuneable applications. We are working in liquid crystal materials characterization and synthesization also and using image processing techniques to enhance the textural images and finding the statistical parameters to identify the liuid crystalline phases.
Bulletin
A new Keysight's N5173B-513 Series Signal Generator (9 kHz - 13 GHz) is entered into ALRC family of Measurement Instruments
*** Consultancy services started for designing, simulation, fabrication and testing of Microstrip antennas of various types have been launched. Research enthusiasts can avail the facilities at our R&D Center..
